Why stay here ...
Moorhaven Farm CL is a small 18 acre smallholding with sheep and lambs in the fields adjacent to the CL and pigs and free range chickens who wonder the farm and yard. The CL is in an easy to reach rural location away from traffic noise where the pace of life slows considerably and with views of open countryside, woods and farm land. Opportunities to see various types of wildlife including badgers, deer and a variety of birds including birds of prey can be seen when exploring the forestry commission woodland which is adjacent to the CL. The CL now has 2 hardstanding pitches.
The CL site is open farmland with wide ranging picturesque views to Dartmoor, Bodmin and Exmoor in the distance and is an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area. The CL has a slightly sloping grass site with ample space for a quiet, relaxing and peaceful stay. The slope is not excessive and can be easily managed by normal methods of levelling. We have water from a bore hole with up to date treatment and sterilisation and a chemical waste disposal point for cassette toilets. We are unable to provide electric hook ups at this time, but we do however provide battery charging at the farm and allow generators to be used under strict Club rules. Seasonal farm produce is available from us and local farms. We welcome well behaved dogs and children.
There is a local shop and pub within a short distance of the site and the nearby seaside town of Bude offers supermarkets, shopping and restaurants as well as a range of attractions and activities. The North Cornwall Heritage coastline with opportunities for surfing, swimming, sea and fresh water fishing and other water based activities are but a short drive away.
Opportunities for walking are available on sections of the west coast long distance path, Dartmoor and Bodmin moor, as well as local footpaths.
The historic market towns of Holsworthy, Tavistock, Launceston, Bodmin and the designer shopping outlet at the Atlantic Village is only a short drive away and our CL is central to a wide range of places of interest whatever the weather.

A quiet haven of beauty
Moorhaven Farm
Deniese the owner is an absolute angel. She is very welcoming and makes sure you are all ok and settled in. The CL is professionally laid out and easy to find but mind this is Cornwall so prepare for some narrow roads (please see my what3words suggestions below).
The surrounding area is beautiful and it is so quiet here. Sunsets are amazing to watch and the night sky is so clear to view, with sheep in the next field and chickens roaming around this really is how CL sites should be
We highly recommend this CL for anyone looking to get back to nature alongside great hospitality.

Peaceful Stay

Stayed here one night on way to St Agnes Club Site, easy access to Bude and other coast, warm welcome from Deneise and the chickens!
Nice to find a site that is back to basics just what we wanted.

Perfect peaceful CL
Moorhaven Farm
Booked at short notice. Warm welcome from Denise - perfect location for a quiet weekend stay.
We walked to Moor View nursery (30 mins) and went bodyboarding at Widemouth bay (20 minutes by car) Will definitely return to explore the area more and enjoy this beautiful CL

Peaceful location

Lovely peaceful site. Denise was friendly and helpful and the dogs loved the nearby forest walks - even finding a place to splash about in the river.

Everything a CL site should be. A simple grass field with Water and chemical toilet disposal. Total peace and quiet. Just up the road is a lovely forestry commission wood which the dogs loved. We look forward to returning
