We received a warm welcome and clear site instructions on arrival, The site is nicely landscaped and well maintained to help create a peaceful atmosphere, My only criticism of the site is that the sub-structure of the pitches needs upgrading. We found it difficult to keep pegs in the pitch during strong winds because the sub-structure was so loose and damp due to poor drainage. The facilities also need upgrading but they were always spotlessly maintained during our stay. The location close to the sea and extensive beach is a real bonus. It is a great site for dogs. Southwold is not far away with interesting shops and the excellent Adnams Brewery where a good lunch is available and the opportunity to tour the brewery. The Sailors Rest, which is adjacent to the site, is excellent with good food. We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay despite the strong wind and rain.
